Mark Evans

Mark is the Chief Strategy and Development Officer for Telefonica SA. He joined the Executive Committe on 1st August 2016, holding the role of Chief Executive Officer of Telefonica UK (O2) until 1st June 2021. During this time, the company became the UK's largest mobile operator, delivering five years of uninterrupted profit growth and market-leading customer satisfaction. Prior to Telefonica, Mark held several senior roles within the Vodafone Group, including Global Technology CFO, UK CFO and Ireland CFO. Prior to this, Mark was Chairman of Tesco Mobile and an independent non-executive director for Hiscox UK. He holds a degree in Chartered Management Accounting (ACMA) and an Honours Degree in Economics.
