Steve Wozniak

Steve "The Woz" Wozniak is an American computer engineer and entrepreneur. In 1976, he founded the Apple company together with Steve Jobs. Among other things, he developed the Apple I and, with the Apple II, the last PC to be designed entirely by a single developer. Steve Wozniak is considered the typical embodiment of the ingenious computer hacker because of his outstanding technical skills and his attitude to life. In 2001, Wozniak founded Wheels Of Zeus, a company that manufactures wireless and GPS-enabled products. He also became a member of the supervisory board of Danger Inc. Since 2009, Steve Wozniak has been working as "Chief Scientist" for the US company Fusion-io. Numerous honors underline his high status. In addition to the National Medal of Technology (1985) and the Grace Murray Hopper Award (1979), he was inducted into the "National Inventors Hall of Fame" in 2000.
