Smudo

Smudo is a founding member of the first German hip-hop band performing in their native language: Die Fantastischen Vier. With ten studio albums and around 1,000 concerts, the ‘Fantas’ have been smashing it for over 33 years. They founded and ran the label ‘Four Music’ for 10 years, from which – among others – Clueso, Gentleman and Freundeskreis emerged. The band also expanded their creative output into advertising, e.g. for Toyota, Nintendo, Volksbank and SEAT. For the latest edition of the American ‘Like A Bosch’ advertising campaign, they produced the song (in German) and the video clip. In addition to his work with the Fantas, Smudo is a welcome guest on TV shows such as The Voice Kids. He also works as an actor and dubbing artist. Additionally Smudo is resident DJ at the legendary Baltic Soul Weekender and has been racing on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife with ‘Four Motors’ for over 20 years, running on CO2-neutral fuels. Smudo lives in Hamburg, is married and has three children.
