Romy Schnelle

Romy Schnelle is Managing Director at High-Tech Gründerfonds (HTGF) and part of the VC and startup ecosystem for 22 years. She has a great enthusiasm for innovation and has been financing tech startups for High-Tech Gründerfonds since 2008. Romy is an advisory board member in startups, advisory board member for Junge Digitale Wirtschaft NRW and was chairwoman of the investment committee of TX Group, one of Switzerland's leading media companies. Before joining HTGF, she co-founded the Fraunhofer spin-off IOSONO, now Barco Audio Technologies, with mp3 inventor Prof Karlheinz Brandenburg. Romy's career began in business development at the Fraunhofer IDMT, before which she studied media science at the Technical University of Ilmenau.
