Günther H. Oettinger

Günther H. Oettinger served as European Commissioner for Budget and Human Resources from January 2017 to November 2019. Following a stint as EU Commissioner for Energy from February 2010 to October 2014, he was European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society between November 2014 and December 2016, and latterly also Vice President of the European Commission.

Prior to this, Mr Oettinger was Minister-President of Baden-Württemberg from 2005 to 2010 and served as a member of the State Parliament (Landtag) since 1984.
