
Michael Römer
Michael Römer began his career in customer service in 1993 as a student assistant at Commerz Service in Essen. From there, he moved to Sykes Enterprises in 1998, where he worked in consulting, mainly advising banks, insurance companies, and municipal utilities on setting up and reorganizing customer service units. In 2000, he moved to Kabel NRW (now Vodafone). There, Mr. Römer was responsible for quality and process management and played a key role in establishing the location. Mr. Römer has been with the FUNKE Media Group since 2005. He was hired to centralize customer service for FUNKE newspapers in North Rhine-Westphalia, and is now responsible as managing director for all customer service for advertisements, magazines, and daily newspapers at four FUNKE Group locations.
