Prof. Dr. Isabell Welpe

Prof. Isabell M. Welpe is a professor and Head of the Strategy and Organization research group at the Technical University of Munich. In her current projects she deals with the digital transformation of companies, the impact of digital technologies on the economy and organisations as well as the future of leadership and job and organisational design. Prof. Welpe has spoken several times at the Digital-Life-Design (DLD) conference and was named one of the Top 40 under 40 of the ‘digital elite’ by Capital magazine and one of the ‘leading 40 thinkers in HR’. Her current interest is directed at the potential of up-and-coming technologies such as AI and Web3 for novel value chains, business models and forms of organisation. Prof. Welpe is a member of the Management Board of the Center for Digital Technology and Management (CDTM), a member of the Münchner Kreis and of several advisory boards.
