Neil Harbisson is a British artist and cyborg activist. He is the first person in the world with an implanted antenna in his skull and the first cyborg officially recognized by a government. His antenna, the Eyeborg, enables Harbisson, who is color blind, to perceive both visible and invisible colors such as infrared and ultraviolet using sound waves. Through the antenna's existing Internet connection, he can use external devices such as cell phones or satellites to receive color spaces as well as images, videos, music, or phone calls directly in his head. In 2010, Harbisson founded the Cyborg Foundation, which he says defends cyborg rights, promotes cyborgism as an art movement, and supports people who want to become cyborgs.
