Matthias Frielingsdorf is a German IT security researcher with a focus on iOS malware such as NSO’s Pegasus. He currently leads research and product development at iVerify. Previously he was an expert and Product Owner for Deutsche Bahn’s Mobile Security team, in which role he was responsible for the security of DB’s smartphones and tablets. During his tenure at T-Systems he for the most part tested mobile security software. Matthias Frielingsdorf is a well-known expert in smartphone security. He wrote his master’s thesis on iOS malware, has held public talks at conferences such as OBTS or HITB AMS, and will conduct his first public training on the detection of iOS malware with forensic methods at Black Hat Europe.
