Markus Pflitsch founded Terra Quantum AG, a German-Swiss start-up company that provides quantum-based applications for industry and businesses, in 2018. The experienced quantum physicist, financial expert and deep tech entrepreneur is convinced that quantum technologies are set to become the crucial competitive edge. Markus Pflitsch held a variety of management positions in international financial institutions and was CFO in owner-managed digital and high-tech companies. He studied mathematics and physics at RWTH Aachen University and at CERN, the European organisation for nuclear research. Markus Pflitsch started his professional career at the Boston Consulting Group in Europe and North America. He is senior advisor of various private equity funds and a member of the Baden-Badener Unternehmer Gespräche (Baden-Baden Entrepreneur Talks, BBUG), a German institution that assembles decision-makers from the worlds of politics, society and business in order to support and advise the future generation of managers.
