Abhijeet Sharma

Abhijeet Sharma is the Global Lead for Blockchain and Mobile and Partner Universe Practices for Agriculture at BASF SE. He is an integral part and leader of the technology processes as a problem solver in agri-related sustainable projects and business models. Projects include: Ardena, a North African problem-solving project for the implementation of four of the 17 UN SDGs, a project that was mentioned in COP27; sustainable cotton production in Greece; biodiversity in Germany; and various other projects driving sustainable business models. Abhijeet Sharma is currently on a quest to solve the problems of traceability, carbon management and related concerns using blockchain and APIs to bridge the ‘data to value’ gap, placing the central focus on the farmers. He is an electrical engineer and MBA with 20+ years of experience in developing and launching products across a wide range of industries and tech sectors (Amazon, Time Warner, Dell and start-ups).
