About the speaker

Dr. Conrad Dreier is the founder and managing director of the SKYNOPOLY platform, which he established alongside his work as a lawyer and notary.

SKYNOPOLY exclusively acquires overflight rights for logistics drones from landowners (especially those with residential properties) in order to market them to commercial operators of logistics drone fleets in the future. The resulting revenue will be shared with the participating landowners.

SKYNOPOLY thus promotes the political and social acceptance of the commercial use of drones in Germany and sees itself as a mediator between the conflicting interests of (future) commercial drone fleet operators and the owners of the land overflown, with the result that the existing tension (liberalization of overflight vs. overflight ban) is resolved in the interests of all stakeholders.

SKYNOPOLY has already attracted a great deal of media attention (e.g. Bild, Business Insider, Handelsblatt, T-Online, FAZ). At the same time, thousands of private property owners throughout Germany are taking part. Most recently, SKYNOPOLY was even able to win Oliver Kahn not only as a customer but also as a brand ambassador.

In view of the progress made by Amazon, DroneUp, Zipline, Wing and Manna in drone delivery, the issue of overflight rights is also gaining momentum. Various pilot projects have had mixed results, not least due to a lack of permission to fly over populated areas
