Axel Clauberg is Director of the Partner Solutions Architects organization in EMEA for Amazon Web Services (AWS) where he leads a team of builders committed to developing
and promoting cloud architectural best practices and helping educate millions of customers and partners on the latest cloud technologies and approaches. Axel joined AWS in January 2020, initially leading the Solutions Architect organization for DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland).

About the speaker
As a member of the Deutsche Telekom Group CTO team and as CTO for the Telecommunications Services part of T-Systems, Axel was driving innovation, simplification and cloudification in the telco industry from 2011 to 2019. He represented Deutsche Telekom in the Boards of the Open Networking Foundation, MEF and the Linux Foundation Networking Fund. Axel was President and Chairman for the Telecom Infra Project from 2017 to 2019. From 1998 to 2011, Axel had various international leadership positions at Cisco Systems. His last role at Cisco was Sales CTO for the Emerging Markets sales theatre (Latin America, Africa, Middle- East, Eastern Europe and Russia). Axel was the field sponsor for the Distinguished Engineer program at Cisco and a member of the Engineering CTO board.
